Weddings, and the months leading up to them, can be a flurry of deadlines and decisions, but choosing Mark was a no-brainer. There’s a lot I would have changed about the wedding itself except for two things: my groom and my photographer. Even if we had eloped (it’s free, plus there’s no awkwardness when your relative unexpectedly brings along her 5 children!), I still would have invited Mark along to capture the stirring images we now have of that amazing day. They are the first heirlooms we ever had as a married couple, and I will always be grateful for him and the tremendous heart he brings to his work.
Mark was a delight to work with. He was relaxed and unhurried, but he managed to corral our rather large family for group shots and catch some of the sweetest candid moments of our wedding day. I do not normally like the process of being professionally photographed, but he made the whole post-ceremony session feel effortless and even fun. He kept the mood light. He made us laugh. And his finished work is stellar.
We cannot be happier that we chose Mark as our photographer! He was great through out the entire process. His professional yet humorous and calming presence put us and our guests at ease. He’s a great guy in addition to being an amazing artist, and will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. He captured all of our important moments beautifully, and his artistic range really showed in his ability to take stunning pictures of our venue’s mountain scenery, our ceremony, and all of us moving on the dance floor! His work is unique, romantic, stylish, and authentic-he truly captured all the love and beauty of our day.
Mark Elkins is a wonderful photographer with a unique vision. He is able to make you feel completely at ease in order to get the perfect photograph. His methods are flawless and the end result is a picture that will leave you breathless. We have pictures from Mark that we will cherish for a lifetime, and we could not be happier with them. We blew up one of the pictures on a large canvas and displayed it at our wedding, and it was the talk of the ceremony. Its easy to see Mark’s brilliance in his work, but at the same time he is able to keep a veiled artistic vision that is evident in all of his photographs. Mark gives a great value and terrific work. What else could you ask for?

I went with my gut instinct with Mark. I saw his work of other couples and thought that his style was what I wanted. I also thought since I found him on Facebook, that maybe it had been too easy of a search for a wedding photographer. I knew, however, after my engagement session with him, that I couldn’t have found a better person who would suit my fiance and I. I feel like my pictures are so honest and I had the most fun shooting with him! I hate having my picture taken, but he made me feel so comfortable! It was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to see the wedding pictures he will take next year!
I spent a really long time searching for a photographer that fit my style and found Mark. I just received our finished engagement pictures last night from our two-hour session, and we ended up with about 125 pictures in a million different areas and positions, and I love every single one of them. Mark is super calm and relaxed, yet he gets a ton done in a short amount of time. I absolutely hate being photographed, but he made it tolerable and the final results were wonderful. Hes photographing our wedding in May and I have absolutely no regrets.
Along with being as brilliant as everyone says he is, Mark is also incredibly versatile. He adopts your dream for your wedding and makes it a reality. He literally makes fairy tales come to life. Almost everything about my wedding was nontraditional, but mark captured my vision, and made it timeless, classic, and incredibly unique all at once!
Seriously, using Mark was the best decision we made for our wedding. He was able to capture all of the beautiful moments from our day in the most unique way possible. I didn’t want the cookie cutter wedding photos, and Mark definitely delivered with wonderful artistic snapshots of our day. I love our photos, and even though we got married over two years ago, I still get compliments on them all the time!
Mark is a SUPERB photographer who has a knack for capturing not only beautiful images, but the heart behind them. He breathes life into two dimensional photos, drawing the essence of the emotions behind them out. To say our wedding photos were amazing would be the understatement of the century. Not only does he work magic with the photos, he is simply a wonderful person to work with. Together with his partner, they made our experience all the more wonderful in an easy-going yet professional manner (if anyone can make that paradox possible, it’s Mark and Jackie!). It was so much fun working with them, and we hope to be able to work with them again for future family events.
We just saw the pictures you posted of the engagement session and *WOW* we don’t even know where to begin. They are beautiful and so sweet. You really captured facets of our relationship that sometimes we even overlook. The pictures you took are so intimate and touching. We LOVE them to say the least. Can’t wait to see the rest and then crazily over decorate my living room with frames of them…kidding but not totally ;). We are so grateful that we were one of the chosen couples to win your contest, I now can’t imagine not having these beautiful pictures…and these are just the engagement. I don’t even know what you will do with our wedding!! There are tons of things in the wedding that we (and trusted crafty family and friends) have made ourselves and I can’t wait to see them portrayed in our pictures. I know it will be even more special because of the labor of love that has gone into making our wedding our own. And I know that you taking and editing all of our pictures has surely been a labor of love in itself. We appreciate that more than you could know. Thank you so much again and again and again.

As an aspiring actor, I needed headshots for role submissions. Mark was very attentive and professional to my needs. The pictures are of the highest quality and returned to me very quickly. I would definitely recommend him, and will come back for future headshots.
